Foglizzo Leather at Blue Design Summit 2026

From May 18 to 20, 2026, the prestigious Teatro Civico in La Spezia will host the third edition of the Blue Design Summit.

The 2026 edition, titled The Next Wave Now, promoted by the Comune della Spezia and organized by Clickutility Team together with the Polo Universitario della Spezia, was conceived as a cultural and industrial platform for nautical design, architecture, and coastal space planning as expressions of contemporary culture and tools for enhancing local territories.

Among the key participants of the 2026 edition is also Foglizzo Leather, a company long engaged in research into materials for high-end nautical interiors.

On Wednesday, May 20, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Paolo Foglizzo will take part in the session “Design on Stage – Technological Elements, Furnishings and Decorative Accessories for Nautical Design”, dedicated to the design solutions shaping the multisensory experience aboard next-generation yachts.

During his speech, Paolo Foglizzo will present projects and case histories developed by Foglizzo Leather, exploring the role of leather and materials in contemporary nautical interior design: surfaces that are not merely aesthetic elements, but an integral part of the sensory experience, functionality, and identity of spaces.

In a context where nautical design is evolving toward an increasingly sophisticated and multidisciplinary dimension, the Blue Design Summit represents a privileged observatory on the new directions of contemporary design, where technology, craftsmanship, and material culture come together to define the future of living at sea.
