Alfa Collection Re-Edition: Introducing the New Pebble Shade
The Alfa collection by Foglizzo returns with a re-edition that emphasises its aesthetic and design qualities, introducing a new shade: Pebble. An update that does not alter the line’s identity but expands its colour vocabulary, reinforcing its distinctly architectural direction.
Alfa stands out for its texture, which captures the lightness of natural movements: the surface is crossed by a pattern of parallel micro-waves, a design that evokes wind-sculpted sand, wood grain, or even furrows in the earth. In this collection, considerable attention is given to the perception of light. The lines, achieved through hot-pressing, create a play of light and shadow, adding depth and rhythm to the leather.
Alfa is a strongly tactile collection; its surfaces integrate seamlessly into design contexts that prioritise authentic materials — wood, metals, stone — creating coherent and versatile relationships.
The introduction of the colour Pebble — a deep grey — follows this same direction. The new shade, inspired by rocky and mineral landscapes, has an austere and controlled character. Pebble pairs particularly well with metallic finishes, creating elegant and contemporary combinations.
A distinctive feature of the collection is also the size of the panels: all Alfa textures are produced in XXL format, measuring 150 × 180 cm. A design choice that allows almost complete coverage of a single hide, minimising waste and maximising usable surface. This provides a dual advantage: greater visual continuity and efficiency in large-scale applications.
The entire Alfa collection is made using Lugano leather, a premium nubuck. The nubuck is characterised by a slightly smoothed surface, achieved through delicate sanding of the grain, giving the leather a velvety touch and a matte, deeply natural appearance.
With the introduction of Pebble, Foglizzo offers designers a new colour in an already highly appreciated texture, providing fresh possibilities for combinations and applications.
