Multilayer
AT 1208

The multilayer technique builds the surface through the overlapping of free-form elements set at different levels, inspired by the channels and branching traces shaped by water across the landscape. The relief adds depth and movement to the composition, transforming leather into a three-dimensional surface with an organic character.

The design combines the soft, velvety feel of nubuck with the refined luminosity of chrome-finished leather, creating a tactile and visual contrast between matte and reflective surfaces. Shapes, proportions and material combinations can be developed to measure, adapting the technique to architectural panels, decorative surfaces and bespoke furnishings.
